I saw the same interview and was equally put off. I like Maher, try to never miss his show, and more often than not agree with his assessment. He's politically left, as am I, yet he often skewers them for the same reasons I would. But he seemed to kiss up to Musk for what, his approval? I don't get it. And it's interesting that a man with the obvious high intelligence Musk has cannot see his own bigotry. I guess such intelligence makes him particularly good at justifying through clever rationalization -- and that's particularly scary.
